Egg Turning Question

A day after putting my eggs in the incubator my automatic turner broke down. So I had to take them out of the turner and lay them and turn them manually. I have not been able to turn them more than once a day I know they say you should turn them 3 times a day but that is not possible for me. My new turner should be coming in today I was wondering if I could stand them back on end and put them in the turner now or if I should keep them on their side and turn them manually...any opinions? Thank you very much.

Put them right in the new turner, fat end up of course. No worries.

Just put them in the turner. On my first hatch I didn't have a turner for the first 3 weeks (they were duck eggs). Then I bought a turner for he last week and it worked just fine.
