Hi y'all,
Just had a good hatch where 5 healthy baby ducklings hatched with no issue. Hooray. One sibling is taking their sweet time, though has externally pipped. The last egg, though, is leaving me a bit worried that something is wrong. Picture attached. No movement, no response to tapping on the egg. Humidity both in the incubator and in the surrounding room has been kept in the zone and stable. I put in a safety hole in the air cell just in case, as I had a chick die in an earlier hatch that would have been rescued with a safety hole.
Is this a dead egg or just taking its sweet time to pip internally/externally?
Thanks for the help!
