Egg White?

The question was presented to me on, what does the egg white do in the hatching process?
I considered my daughters answer as, "like the embryonic fluid"!

I know that the blood vessel develop in it. Just what else is it for?

From my knowledge it keeps the embryo and membranes moist so they won’t dry out. That is my thinking at least.
