Egg with blood on it

Today I got an egg with blood on the shell. Not alot of blood, just a little patch. Wondering if this is normal. Did she tear a bit?

Has she just begun laying, a bit of blood happens at times, it's usually a new layer or a bigger egg than they are used to.

Not unusual, especially in new layers.
As long as it's not a lot of blood or continues every day, shouldn't be a problem.

yes. she is a new layer. got her egg today and it was clean. I think it was even a little bigger. thanks for the replies!
