Egg with lines and ridges

I noticed my EE hen laid an egg today that had some very noticeable lines in it. What causes that?

Lined or wrinkled eggs are usually caused by stress, but certain diseases, shell gland problems and hens kept in overcrowded conditions are also causes. Unless your hen shows signs or symptoms of disease, acts differently or continues laying these I wouldn't worry though. It may be that she just got a fright or got disturbed during the calcification process.

Ok thanks. Im feeding them laying pellets and they free range just about every other day at least. We have had a lot of rain the past month or so and it has just seemed to stay wet and humid every day.
