Hi, I have a question that I *think* I know the answer to due to some questions posed by other users. Last night my husband and I were working on the chicken run/house and while we were out there, one of my chickens (I'm not even sure which one it was) laid an "egg" on the ground that was just the inner egg. Looked like you'd put it in the frying pan. All of the chickens immediately started eating it and I was just so shocked I didn't know what to do. We got the chickens 3 days ago, so I'm inclined to believe it was a fluke due to stress and probably won't happen again. Is this correct? Will she lay normal eggs eventually? Also, I don't need to be worried about my hens eating eggs because they ate the innards, right?
