Egg with no shell

What are you feeding? Any Oyster Shells? Age of flock? Unless you know who done it, best to keep an eye on them.
Probably one of the young 6 month old layers but we also have 5 year olds. Oyster shell in their feed and a variety of organic feeds, treats, including blueberries, veggie trimmings, even leftover oysters, some free ranging. Probably just a fluke hiccup with a jammed calcium gland or something... I'll report back if it happens again or anyone gets sick.

We got another one today. I think it's an older Ameraucana who has always had trouble with thin shells or they come out with weird lumps. She had a traumatic childhood: had all her tail feathers pecked off and was bleeding at the feed store where we bought her. She eventually made her way up the pecking order and gained confidence but still rarely lays a sturdy egg.
