My pullet Lilly has been sick (look here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=613320) she has been acting like she has been feeling better, but still choking in the after noon. She hasn't been laying that I know of, but after receiving 3 eggs from 4 laying hens, I think we got eggs from all but her. After being gone most of the day, I came to check on them, and I saw an egg at the top of their ramp. It was hard to see in the dark, but I saw another hen step on it, and saw it go squish. After looking at it, there was a healthy looking white and yolk, but the eggshell across the top, was like a latex glove. I fed the white and yolk to the cats, but how worried should I be? They have oyster shell mixed in with their food because they ALWAYS make huge messes with it.
