Egg Withdrawal

My hens have a form of bumblefoot, which resulted from a roosting problem. Their perches are more than 18 inches from the floor. 3 of my hens are heavy, so jumping down resulted in bumblefoot.
Just a PSA.
Bumblefoot is a staph infection developing in a wound.
The wound can possibly be caused by jumping....onto something sharp...but not just jumping down.
I have heavy birds, they use the ramp, most the time...I can hear the cock jump off the roost, but he has no wounds or infections.

I can only say what the vet told me. Only my three heavy hens have it on both feet in the same spot. My two americaunas are fine. They are not limping, still eating normal. Their feces is fine, the vet sent it out for fecal analysis which was negative for parasites. Basically I have to soak them in the blue stuff once a week now and apply the navasal. There is improvement since I started this. The biggest question is about the egg withdrawal since the first vet I used gave my hens a shot of baytril, which he shouldn't have according to the second vet I used.
