Egg Worries

I have a question for all you more knowledgeable than I folks. I bought a laying hen last Saturday night and Sunday after noon I found my first egg in he nest. Since then there have been no eggs and she doesn't want in her coop. I am curious as to if she just stopped laying because of the location change or not. I am keeping her in her coop for a few days because of her not wanting to go roost in it anymore.

Laying to halt after a move is quite common. The move can be very stressful for them but they should return to laying eventually.

Any change in surroundings can cause them to quit laying. It depends on the hen how quickly they start back up - some in a few days, some take a couple weeks.

I finally got myself my second egg from Henri only took a week after her move. I am excited now!
