Egg yolk breaking.

Whenever we try to make fried eggs the yolk always breaks the second it goes into the pan. We keep them at room temperature and I have a mixed flock of 1 EE 1 RIR 2 Buff Orpingtons 1 Olive Egger 2 red sex links 1 jersey giant mix plus a black sex link rooster.

How old are the birds? Egg quality is not perfect and tend to decreases over the years. In years past, I have used an old hens eggs just for baking as when I fried them the yolk was weak or the whites were so thin the yolk popped out.

They range from one year to eight months.

It is all the eggs and they eat Purina layer crumbles

Guess you might have to settle for scrambled eggs.

Try cutting out everything but the layer feed for a couple weeks and see if that makes any difference in the yolks.
