Egg Yolk Peritonitis

Hi, My question is can I use duramycin 72 from tracter supply to treat my hen egg yolk peritonitis ? Thanks

You can use that, but in reality, antibiotics may only help in early stages. Amoxicillin (Fish Mox) and the banned for chickens Baytril may be more effective. Dosage is a little hard to pin down for oxytetracycline. 5 mg per pound is probably close.

Thank you so much! I don't think I can get the Baytril without prescription from the vet. I am going to try oxytetracycline. Should I give her injection or just tablet?
