Eggbound chicken?

she hasn't pooped since i brought her inside, a few hours ago, but I'm not sure when she last went, as she is in a coop with a few other hens.

Agreed. Hold on.
If she hasn't laid in a year and you think you feel an egg she could very well have a stuck egg but the not laying for a year still is not a good sign.

im going to run and take some photos, but there isn't anything really visual except for the swelling. Also, the last time I brought a chicken to the vets, it cost over 700 dollars!

It feels soft, except for the hard egg shaped part.
