Eggbound hen, don't feel an egg, need advice

Thanks for all the kind words. I don't want my chickens to die, but if they do, I prefer they do it quickly while I'm not around! I performed a partial necropsy today....I'm not very skilled at this, so having trouble finding all the parts. Plus, she was still partially frozen, since we put the body in the shed. How much liquid (not blood) should a hen have in her body cavity? Looked like at least a cup came out. Is that normal? Gizzard, liver looked "normal" size. I'm guessing the intestines are whitish? and the reproductive tract grey? Is that correct? Saw no eggs of any kind.
Guess I should've tried harder to "drain" her.

I don't think anything would have saved her. Pat yourself on the back for doing the necropsy, and thanks for the update.
