Well, thanks for all the help guys- She tolerated worming, but it didn't change anything. We lost her over the holiday. I truly appreciate all the good advice I got here and I am posting again on a new thread because

I have another hen who is showing signs of illness. Ugh!!!

You would think with how careful we all are of our gals and how well fed and treated that they'd be good and healthy, but this is my 3rd sick chicken in 3 years of keeping and only 6 hens!

I'm sorry for your loss and the sorrow involved in losing a member of the family. I have a NHR undergoing similar problems and I'll probably lose her as well, but I don't want her to suffer and I really don't want to pay large vet bills.

Like you , I only have six girls and raised them from day old chicks so this is gonna hurt when she goes.

My thoughts are with you. I hope that the rest of yours get better.
