What was weird was Tractor Supply said they had "flamingo food" but would have to order the waterfowl maintenance food. huh???? who has flamingos?

Call your vet and explain that to them and see of you can work out a deal. Also ask if you could give her a shot yourself using the injectable calcium gluconate from Tractor Supply. Let them know it's "calcium gluconate 230 mg/ml".

I can give shots as I give shots to horses, even can put in the jug of a horse in an emergency. Birds...no idea. where are they given?

If you can do IV in horses then you can do birds. My vet has me do calcium injections under the skin.

If she needs more than today's shot, I will have her show me where/how. I just have to borrow funds today for the vet and I HATE that since I should not need to since TODAY is payday. omg my job makes so many crappy excuses as to why checks are often a day late. I think they have a list and go down the line and then when they get to the bottom of the list, they start back at the top again.

Needed calcium. She showed me how and where to do the shots and I will be given Puddles injectable, then oral calcium. She said she had a duck last week from the same thing, same reason...they don't sell waterfowl food here. She said it has to be ordered direct from Mauzri... that is so crazy that it is not sold locally.
