Eggbound, passed egg, acting paralized...?

My friend's chicken was eggbound for a few days, and she finally passed the egg. But, now she's having a hard time getting around. She's losing her balance and falling over. Will it improve in time do you think? Or do you think the egg sat on a nerve too long and now there is permanent damage?

Only giving her time will tell the answer to that, but it's not uncommon for females who have had a hard time with reproductive functions to be lame from it for a while. The losing balance though you would want to make sure isn't due to toxicity, which is possible because of how long she was blocked up for, so if she looks sick, antibiotics would be needed.
