Just curious- how often do egg bound hens resolve on their own (or after some minimal TLC, extra food and water, Epsom bath, lubing vent)? Just want to get a feel for what I am getting into. TYIA!

No,she keeps eating and pooping big soft brown poop. Another epsom bath and felt around her vent with lube (which kind of sucked my finger in, which was a new experience, but didn't see any egg crowning, just some poop. When I rotated my finger "around" /up and down it felt a little firm, but not hard like an egg ( I think-not sue what I should be feeling for). At the end of the day she was standing and cooing for her sisters, and she actually walked to the coop , up the ramp, and is on the perch agin tonight. Guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing (soaks, calcium +vit D, soft food and water + isolation during the day?If she is able to poop, then she is not egg bound. Is she able to stand up and walk some? Is she showing any feather loss or signs of beginning to molt, or any broody signs?
