If My Hen Sits On Her Egg And I leave Her On The Egg Will She lay any Eggs Or Just Sit On Her Egg? Please Help:|

as Fas as I know they will continue to lay Until they feel the clutch holds enough eggs.
And I think the eggs are good for about 10 days allowing for clutch size before the actual incubation sitting Can start. Thats up to the chicken.

I could be way off, but thats my understanding

Thanks

Because she lays an egg doesn't mean she will go broody and hatch a clutch of eggs. Broodiness has been bred out of many chickens. There are alot of hens that NEVER go broody in their life and have no interest in setting a clutch of eggs. Your hen may lay in the same nest every single day until there are many eggs but that won't make her go broody. Unless you know she is broody you are risking broken eggs and developing egg eating tendencies when and if it happens. Unless you know the hen is broody and will set I would advise collecting the eggs daily.

Ive Seen My That Hen Go Broody and Every egg I take From Her Is Fertiel, aND sHES a bantam/Game And Yesterday She was Sitting On Her Eggs I Moved Her Off and It Was Warm I even Put Out Cherrios she Didnt Leave.
