Eggless broody girl??

Hello...I have a 7 month old silkie that has gone broody for the first time! I don't think she has any eggs under her....is this possible? Will a chicken go broody without any eggs under her? She's been broody for a few weeks now and my roo is very protective of her. Neither her or the roo will let me look under her to see if she has an egg or not I'm so confused!!

Silkies are well known for broodiness and will go broody with eggs or without. Chances are she has eggs under her though

Thanks Stiggy! If she has that's fine even though I just hatched out 2 of her babies under a different hen lol! Oh well what's 1 more It would be quite a waste if she doesn't!
