Eggs 6 weeks old, can I incubate?

Jim, a trick you can try to minimize the damage should one "go off" on you unexpectedly; take a thin, threadbare washcloth, or two to three layers of cheesecloth, and drape the fabric over the eggs, tucking it in between each one. If one blows, the cloth catches most of the mess, saving the rest of the clutch.

If later you need to raise the humidity, just wet the cloth slightly.
Good luck with them.
