Can a chicken with prolapse lay eggs?

Probably depends on the extent of the prolapse. The hen will still ovulate, and if it is a mild prolapse, she may be able to pass an egg.

I'm going on pics that I found on this site. At first I thought cocci, then blackhead, but the more I searched, the more it's looking like prolapse. Been going since Wednesday aft.,today is Sat. I didn't know what to do..she started bleeding from her backside(very badly), then next day nothing, then next day bleeding, then today nothing. Not sure what to do with her, I gave her a warm bath to soak in, but don't really know where to go from here. Should I try to push it back in? It's kinda messy back there, stuff dried and all. BTW..She's a 2 yr Delaware, so she lays some pretty big eggs, like my Pekin ducks..extra large! I didn't feel any hardness on her abdomen, just a softish spot where the eggs form, I guess..any advice?
