What is this? It looks like the egg is leaking a sap like substance. Is this a bad egg about to explode and should I remove it? I have one chick hatching right now and another I'm still waiting on.

Is the "sap"coming out of an external pip or is it oozing out of the shell. If it is out of an external pip then the chick may have pieced it's own yolk sack while trying to hatch. This is not a good thing. It maybe that the humidity is on the high side and it is stuff coming out also from an external pip hole.
If it isn't a pip then it could indeed be a rotten egg and needs to be removed. If it is bad it will smell. Hope this helps.

It seems to be oozing out of the shell. I don't see anything that would make me think its a pip. Also, when I candled the eggs this one didn't look great. This is only my second time incubating so I left it just in case. I think I'll pull it once this chick is through hatching.
