Hello everyone, been away for work for a couple days. Our new peahen came with two eggs she was sitting on when we brought her here. We haven't seen her sit on them really, since we got her on Monday. Today she laid a third egg! We would like to have baby peafowl if she's willing, but can you tell me if the eggs are still good since she hasn't been sitting on them since late Monday? What about today's egg? She is roosting in the barn rafters tonight.

I have a friend who has a broody chicken and we can put the eggs under this chicken if need be.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

eggs should be fine,if you have a fertlized egg and you want to hatch it mark distnctly on the egg with a marker i prefer sharpie, and if she keeps laying fresh eggs you know what batch is okay just make sure you get them before 4 days.

Do you have success getting the eggs to hatch when you use a sharpie on them? I used a sharpie on several eggs in one batch and none of them developed much past a week or so. I think there are toxins in the ink that seep through the shell....

USE COLORED TAPE OR DUCTTAPE
