Well, the eggs arrived today, all the way from Florida, with special thanks to Grandpa with Chickens who collected and sent them! I've got a webcam set up, for those who want to watch: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/beanpots3

There
are three Rhode Island Whites and 17 Barred Rock eggs. Three of the barred rock eggs were busted in transit (how, I have no idea, because Scott packed them so well!) and me and my fumble fingers dropped a fourth barred rock egg as I was unwrapping it (doh!)--so we've got a total of 20 in the bator! This is so exciting! My class and I can't wait to see the results!

I'm sure I'll post more pictures when the time comes. Had to come back to work to get everything set up this evening, as the eggs arrived at my house this afternoon. My two children and I are now just waiting for the 'bator to get up to temp. and then we're heading home!

Again, special thanks to Grandpa With Chickens! What a great guy!

I'm nervous as all get out and wishing the bator were at home with me. But this is a classroom project, so it stays here. I'll drop in tomorrow morning and check on things....
