Mary, the chicken eggs I got from you are on lockdown now in another incubator. And the guinea eggs are due March 4th.
I am SO hoping!!

Paganbird, I am glad they didnt crush the whole box either!!! It was like it was done on purpose and that irritates me.
These are the people we pay to ship eggs????

To make it worse, I dont even know what I did wrong. I calibrated the thermometers/hygrometers and kept an eye on them. I turned three times a day. With the exception of a heat spike in the one incubator, temps/humidity were consistent.
I didnt open the incubator except for turning and did that quickly.
The only eggs I have setting now that I have hopes of doing something are the guinea eggs from chickenlittle32 and I just set the other batch of button quail from Paganbird.
Both incubators of chicken eggs I think are a loss, except for the one little baby. I have had it happen before but it is always a bummer. I have had good and poor hatches. The poor ones I always wonder what I "did wrong".Sigh.

Going to let the chicken eggs from chickenlittle32 go through the weekend because technically they arent due just yet and I am probably being fatalistic!
The other incubator I am going to clean out, disinfect tomorrow.
Then I will continue to monitor the guinea and button quail eggs, wait for my other orders, and take care of the birds I have hatched so far this year. They are all doing good so that picks me up.

Its just real disappointing but when its a good hatch it makes up for the poor ones.

My Cloverleaf hatch has started. One of the 5 has pipped!
It's day 20. I'll be gone all day tomorrow, so I'll probably miss the whole hatch. Oh well, sometimes it's better that way.

How many SF's did you get from Cloverleaf? I am going to get some more SF crosses from her the second week of March.(Have to give it another try you know)
