Ok, did a quick candling (day 6) since I won't be home tomorrow night, and we all know that in hatching you must round back not up when it comes to days
Good news Speckledhen!! Charlottes eggs are growing except for #6 which has a blood ring. Her's are so easy to see veins in that there's no problem candling them. The others I believe are doing well too, but it's still hard to see through the dark shells, and I didn't candle them all. But, I figure if Charlottes are doing so well, then it's a good average that the others are too. I do know that one of the barred rock is developing too. So, looks really really good. I'll get more specific on day 14
Zunibee, I can't really tell yet. I think they are growing, but like the other dark eggs, I just can't be 100%. But the yoke area looks darker than it should, so that's a good sign.
So, I'm feeling optimistic about this hatch. If I can just keep the humidity under control, I'd be really happy. We've been having snow, and then a really warm day and snow, and a really warm day, so the humidity has been a nightmare to keep where it needs to be. At night it can be too high, and in the morning it's not even registering on the hygrometer.
But then it would be wrong to have a smooth hatch right
