Eggs, but NO squatting!

I have a motley crew of Barnies, I think they are part Plymouth Rocks, but anywhoo I finally have some eggs, but NO ONE IS SQUATTING! Is this normal? My banty cochins all squatted when they started laying. What gives?

Do you have a rooster in with them? I notice mine don't squat much for me anymore, they get enough action from the rooster.

Even without a rooster, I have a couple girls that have never squatted for me.

Some of mine squat and some don't. I don't have any roosters. Is this actually a "rooster" squat instead of an "egg" squat?

I really don't understand it. I have one hen that squats when I say her name.

It really is rather amusing! Why does she do that?

My Standard Dark Cornish Hen, Autumn, started to lay the day before yesterday, the very next morning my EE rooster was mating her.
