I recieved some shipped egg and the box was damaged in shipping which resulted in all the eggs but three being crushed. The three eggs that remained were covered in the yolk from the crushed eggs. Are they worth trying to hatch or is it a lost cause. I was looking forward to these eggs but oh well these things happen. Just wondering if anyone would know.

wow, that's upsetting when they get crushed like that. I'm think what the heck, put them in and see what happens. I keeping thinking about buying some egg wash for just such an event.

This same thing happened to me with 2 shipments of eggs....broken egg getting yoke all over the other eggs. I did a search on this forum and I learned that you can wash them with very, very warm water to get the yolk off. Dry them and let them settle as you normally would. I'm on day 20 with my washed eggs and I am hearing peeping coming from those eggs..

Hey thanks everyone. I lightly washed them off but I didn't use soap because I didn't know if it would affect the eggs. I was disappointed

. The eggs were packaged very well, but I think the PO decided to play kickball with the box. One good kick and crunch went all the eggs.
