We have a Muscovy duck who has laid eggs in our backyard. We live on a manmade lake. The way I found out eggs had been laid was one was broken in the grass. When I discovered the eggs, there were two clutches. One was being sat on. The other was not. There were 8 'extra' eggs. The next morning I found another cracked open shell in our pool, leaving 6. Those six eggs have been disappearing one by one over the period of the last month. I have found no more egg shells.
Are there marauders? Don't know why they would maraud over that period of time! Or is mama duck eating them? Just curious
