Ain't that a pretty site. The eggs got cool Monday night when the power went out, but I did move the eggs out to some hens after about 90 minutes. That was the limit of how long I would wait for the power to come back on. That was also a good time to candle the eggs. The power was out for 6 hours. I moved the eggs back in so that other hens would not push into the nests and break the eggs. I am getting the broodies setup in their own private houses and lots this weekend. They will get the eggs to finish the hatch then.

2 are hatched and multiple are pipped. 1 of the hatchlings hatched under Lacy a birchen bantam cochin. The other hatched in the bator and went out just before 10 to Lacy. Both are safely tucked under their new momma with several more eggs. 4 of the pipped eggs went out to Pockets a black bantam cochin. We are hoping Pockets will switch over to mama mode, but she has only been broody for 4 days and just settled on a new nest today. This worked with Pigey a few years ago, but this is Pockets' first time with eggs/chicks.
