Ok I have a EE that lays pretty green eggs. Well ever once in a blue moon she will lay a egg that feels like chalk, and it is not shiney.. Dose any one no why or what this is from? She also lays her eggs in the floor of the coop some times and today she laid one out side on the muddy ground( she also lays in the nesting boxes). I don't free range, and the coop was open for her to go in. Any ideals????? Thanks

I used to get eggs like that from my guineas. They are infertile eggs and they are laid without the bloom on the outside to protect from bacteria getting into the shell. I do not remember.... if I ever knew for sure, what causes it. No sense wasting time putting them in the bator though.
