Eggs Feel Heavier Already, Is It My Imagination?

    My eggs went in the incubator on the 9th August and already they feel heavier except one which feels much lighter than the others. Is this my imagination as they are only on their third day in, or is this normal? [​IMG]

    Sorry to tell you, but unless only one of your eggs is fertile you're almost definitely imagining it. Eggs should actually LOSE about 13% of their starting weight through the incubation process as the chick develops. So if your eggs don't lose weight, your chicks aren't developing as they should be! Have a look at Brinsea's website for an Incubation Guide that's free to download and that explains the moisture loss process much better than I can...
