How did you find these people? I've been searching the web and have talked to folks but nobody even knows what a Marans is.

I currently have Cuckoos but am also interested in Black Copper Marans. I'll send Laurie an e-mail.

I got a reply from Laurie, she has some Cuckoos and several blues she needs to sell because she is moving.
They are on some yahoo groups I am on.
Marans and darkegglayers.
If I can figure out how, I will forward you laurie's email.

Aren't you sweet. I read the email that Laurie sent to you and am not too sure about going and getting them... I'm about 2 generations (myself) from getting good egg color. Maybe if she emails me, I can call her and talk to her. I guess, all in all, it couldn't hurt to get some good blood in... So, yea, I guess I would go and get them. Wow, I talked myself into that, didn't I?!

Yes, but let me enable you. Go get the the chickens. You want them--no, you need them. How is that? I got an email from a lady in Kentucky thta has Marans but I still haven't heard from Iona. I'll keep trying.
