Eggs for state fair: need to wash!

Hello. My young daughter is entering eggs in our state fair and they are judged on size and cleanliness. Any tips on cleaning eggs for competition? They're looking for "adhering dirt or prominent stains over 1/2 shell's surface which causes general appearance of entry to be unclean."

I always use a steel scrub brush. this gets all stains and poop off without ruining or scratching the shell.
