I believe it is supposed to be 50/50, but my buff laced tend to produce a lot of frizzles. Even my chocolates produce more frizzles than smooths. My cuckoo pen has more smooth hens than frizzle hens and a smooth roo (of course), so as a breeding group they produce less frizzles. But, when they do, wow! I am attaching a photo of a 3 month old cuckoo frizzle chick. Take a look at his crest! (Please ignore the fact that it is a little wet. He was happily running around after it rained.)

Those cukoos are stunning! I have silver laced polish bantams, and now I know what new color I want next!! These will be placed on my wishlist for sure

Hi, thanks! If you're interested, I'd be up for a trade of either breeding stock or eggs! I love silver laced and would like to add them to my farm. Hope to hear from you soon!

Just out of curiosity...when you breed a black roo to cuckoo hens do you always get cuckoo? Or black and cuckoo? I would love to take a dozen of these...as many BL as possible please!! I have 2 bantam BL (my hen is broody right now) and would LOVE to add some Frizzled ones. Can they ship this week?

If you'd be interested in trading I have:
Standard WC Blue Polish
Silkies - BBS & White
Bantam Frizzle Cochins (black, blue, barred, and 1 buff hen in the mix)
Coturnix
Button quail
EEs
BC Marans - only 1 hen laying now, so it wouldn't be a lot of eggs
