Thürigian Bearded Bantam (Critically Endangered Breed)

Are you familiar with the genetics of d'Uccles at all? I've got 2 self blues, a Mille Fleur, and this weekend I'm getting 2 M/F pairs of porcelains. I've been reading up on genetics and it's mind boggling!

These guys look adorable!
I love seeing different rare breeds from other EU countries getting brought up! And I love seeing breeders who are dedicated to keeping such breeds alive, it's truly great work.
Out of curiosity, how did you learn about this breed? Are you from Germany or did you find out about them another way?

Where did you find d'uccle genetic information? I'd love to read it too!
I've found some random stuff on Google, but there is a good thread here. I'll link it below. I'm getting BBS Orpingtons this month and I've read up on those genetics and they seem fairly straightforward. So I thought, "I've got this" about my d'Uccles. Not so much. 😆

Edited to correct link- apparently I need more coffee!

They really are!!! Me too, rare breeds such as these are dying out and it's so sad to see their numbers dwindling!

I couldn't find any hatching eggs from Italy so I started looking around and found a German website that sells all kinds of things in Germany including hatching eggs and all kinds of birds! My dad knows German and has taught me as well so as I looked at all the cool breeds this website had available I saw an add for Ramelslohers. They're another critically endangered breed from Germany and the person selling them gave me I formation on the German/Switzerland realist of agricultural breeds! That's where I learned about and got the names for other breeds such as the Creeper Chicken, and of course... The Thürigian Bearded Bantam!

I've been trying my best to get more knowledgeable with genetics, but I haven't done much research on d'Uccles specifically. I thiiiiink they normally have mottling

These are young pullets and cockerels from this spring that belong to another breeder who specializes in Black and Barred, I just love how adorable their lol beards look!

I thought, we'll I've got 2 Self Blue, one of which I know is a cockerel. The other is too young to know yet. I've got one Millle which is still young, but I'm leaning pullet. Then I'll have 2 confirmed porcelain pairs. But it's not as simple as breeding the 2 blues, get all blue chicks or breed the porcelains and get all porcelain chicks. I was hoping, lol.
