Eggs got cold :(

Unfortunately, we lost a broody hen last night that was sitting on several eggs. Do the eggs still have a chance? We lost most of our flock last night and I'm devastated. I have one broody sitting on other eggs, and I wasn't sure if there was a chance for the cold ones? I could candle, of course, too. But, didn't want to waste by time if there wasn't a chance.

I doubt the candling will tell you if they are still alive. Don't count them out just yet. How far into incubation were they?
If it was the first half, they could still be viable.

there is still a chance they are alive i would just get them warm and see if they hatch candling may help you find out which are fertile and which are not or if they died half way through if you haven't already

There is a great chance if they are close to hatching, by that time they are making some of their own heat and they can live longer....but usually take a little longer to hatch also.
