do you know what you get if you cross a white and a black silkie? will it be white or black? and have you got any pictures of your black silkies.

I was wondering the same thing .... about the cross with white and black silkies. I do not know. I took pictures of the new black Silkie trio, but they didn't turn out good. I am bad at photography! I will try again tomorrow. Let me go look, maybe I have one good one... BRB ...

the silkie eggs I got came from the same place as the sussex. In the silkie coop their were mainly white but I think there was one or two blacks as well. I hope all three eggs hatch

only 5 days to hatch

have they settled in nicely?
My three little silkie eggs are ( in the photo ) the tiny white ones in the front row. they are the three in the middle, the other two on the sides are the wyandotte bantams.

They really are beautiful! I just love them! The one has just started laying and she laid an egg the first day and each day since! So, I have 3 eggs from her already. The second pullet has not started laying yet. They are really sweet.
