Thank you, It was a bit difficult trying to hold the egg and the torch in one hand and taking the photo with the other. I am not really worried about the silver laced wyandottes other then I am supposed to be halving the chicks with the person who gave them to me but since there isn't many I will probably just give them all to her.
I am happy about the light sussex because that is the main breed that I will be breeding. our big pen will be for them and I will have 12 hens and 2 roosters in it. And I don't remember if I have told you all but I am having to start again as the light sussex that I have at the moment are actually a cross stupid people selling them to me as light sussex eggs Thats why from now on I go to the farm and see the parents that the chicks will be from
I have a problem. the silkie eggs are smaller yet the chick in there looks the same size as the chicks in the bigger egg. so I am thinking that they will hatch a little before. sooooo would it be ok since I am hatching in the egg carton to put them in lockdown on day 16 for the bantams and 17 for the others. I am putting the eggs in lockdown earlier because I am hatching in the egg cartons and last time some piped on the wrong end so hopefully the extra day will help the position better.
