Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
I collect my eggs for hatching daily over 3 days and store them on the counter in egg crates little end down. I put all in incubator at the same time. I count out 18 days for lockdown & laying eggs flat .( I do use an egg turner.) My eggs start pippin on day 19 & 20, hatched and those all made it. The rest of the hatch came on day 22 and they are small,weak, and have all died. DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG?????? This happened on my last bunch of incubator chicks last month. Thanks for any input.
