What if I have other eggs in there that still needing turned? Will it hurt them not being turned? I am only using the therm that came with the incubator.. What kind would I need to get? OMGosh.. Who would have thought that incubating eggs would be so difficult.. LOL
Thank You! I have ALOT to Learn!

Boy you sure took on alot doing a staggered hatch your first time out!!!! I just did my first and I have been hatching for 2 years!!!! It is ok to take them off the turner for the three days of lockdown. I actually had a really successful staggered hatch and I thought it would matter and it didn't.

you should be able to take the turner apart very easily by removing the two screws on the motor and then take out some of the trays so you can have room for the chicks to hatch and your others can stay in the turner without a problem. You may want to place a washcloth or something over the empty part of the turner to keep the chicks from getting stuck but it should be fine if you keep an eye on them.

I really didn't want to but I bought some Cochins in the middle of my others already being in the incubator and so I added them when they lay.. I only have 2 hens and they lay every so often and don't know how long my eggs will last with out being incubated so I just add them and figured I could wing it.. LOL

Oh my goodness. Give yourself a break!!!! Two dates in a bator is not a bad thing.

If you look at my signature, there is a link to my Incubation Cheater for still air dry incubation. A lot of it won't necessarily apply to you right now, but what's there may help you make decisions about the situation and future incubation in your LG. As long as you are getting your humidity as high as possible during this hatch time, you should be fine- and there's a method of doing that in the Cheater.
