so this is my first time using a incubator to hatch eggs,i have 12 eggs in there and 5 have hatched with a 6th one slowly hatching. the other 6 eggs havent even pipped yet and its day 23 should i be worried? TIA

Continue to watch them. I usually start doing egg-topsies around 48 hours after hatch. I've actually had chicks that I had to assist with hatching two days after hatch date. All are happy and healthy, I actually have a few in my layer flock.

You can candle them to see if there is any movement in them, if not then they're probably not going to hatch.

Once the other chick finishes hatching there's no threat of shrink wrapping the eggs that aren't pipped externally yet so I would go ahead and try candling them to see what they look like. I also lightly tap or whistle to see if they chirp in response.

Take the unhatched ones out of the incubator, & candle them where the air cell is with a flashlight? If there's movement they're alive, & need more time. If there's no movement they're dead.

i candled them early this morning before the one start to hatch and they were all moving but none of them have pipped yet internally, im afraid they arent going to hatch
They may still hatch. I had a chick hatch on day 25 once.

You can continue to wait and see what happens. I've heard of chicks successfully hatching as late as day 25 though it's not as common.

Fingers crossed for your peeps!
