but thats what I thought that they froze and someone said nope cant freeze, yes those are freezing cracks...the dogs will enjoy them in there food...but man, that means I have to start all over again.

I just didnt want them to ruin on the counter, I live in Texas and it gets hot, old mobile home, so our temps jump back and forth. So thats why I asked on refrigerating.

How hot does it get in your mobile home? If it's not too hot, they should be ok for just a few days. I don't think I'd want to let them sit around more than 4 or 5 days, though, in the heat.

How about putting them in a big, unglazed terra cotta pot, with a wet towel over the top, ends hanging down into pans of water? You could set the pot (planter) in a tray of water, and put a brick or rack or something in the bottom to rest your egg cartons on, so they wouldn't be sitting in the water. That would keep them cool by evaporation. In some parts of the world, this is very similar to what people do to keep perishable foods cool enough to keep for a few days, when they have no refrigeration.

Depends on the day...its a very old home...and even though a/c new...insulation is not that great...think hottest its been is like 85 in here....now my daugs...room its cold!!! I mean like hmmm maybe 73, guess cause the unit is that way to the back of the house....

Just a suggestion.
Try pulling the fridge out and vacuum off the coils on the back. Check that the drip tube is not clogged. And free of dust under the fridge.
This will affect temps in the fridge as they are not able to function properly. Also if it's an older fridge ... You may need to defrost the freezer.
