I set yesterday. Started a thread looking for hatch buddies, but I'm going to crash your party instead. Eight eggs, Leghorn and some other white mystery roo over silver laced wyandotte. I bought the 'dottes already laying, and took them from their roos, so probably only five or so of these are actually fertile. We'll see, though! Woohoo!
rarely bored - Can't wait to see how your experience with ebay eggs finishes. Since I am doing homemade incubator, I too will be hand turning my eggs. Yeah, 7 did quickly become 20. Wife is not to happy, but its all good. lol
shepan2 - the privacy curtain sounds like a great idea. I noticed with my chickens, as long as the dont think there is anything there. They wont bother it.
Dipsy Doodle Doo - Good luck, what and how many are you doing?
earth_ma - Good luck on the incubation. Are you using a homemade incubator, or a store model?
laniered - Soory, I did not see your post otherwise I would of posted. But glad you joined on mine. Sounds like a good mix of eggs you put in. Hope it turns out good for you.
Sorry if I missed anyone. Hope everyone has a great incubation.
I set thirty crested/bearded silkie eggs and 25 LG fowl mix day before yesterday and will be setting 4 dozen americaunas tomorrow so we should hatch about the same time. Good luck
115 = (whatever i have room left for. My big bator hold 120 and the little one holds 40. My last hatch I had 96 and came home with 22 chicks. Out of all teh eggs getting set this week only 12 are shipped so hopefully have some better luck. This haatch is just as exciting as teh first. I hate the waiting.
