I just put my eggs on day 18 lockdown and I noticed that every once in awhile they will move. They have been at a pretty steady 99.5 - 100 degrees throughout the incubation. Humidity has been on the high side of 50 - 55% throughout. It is up to 63% now that they are on lockdown. When I do the next batch I will probably use bowls and sponges since I had difficulty keeping the humidity down in our Florida environment. Hopefully I can control the humidity better that way.

I started with six eggs (from my hens) and so far all six are fertile and candling shows they are all fully developed.

Is it normal for the eggs to start moving this early? It is not a steady rocking, more of a "twitch" every 5 minutes or so.

Idk..... I would say it is fine, as a few times that has happened to me but they decided to wait until day 20 to do anything!

They seem to have settled this morning. Maybe they were just adjusting themselves wth the change of going from the turner to laying naturally.

I was just worried they may start hatching way too early and be weak.

yes sounds like mine! Keep us updated!

My wife just called me at work and told me the eggs are chirping at each other. Won't be long! Today is day 19. Getting nervous :)
