eggs not collected for a week

    I was out of town for a week and my chicken and ducks eggs was not collected while I was gone temp here didnt get over 70 y I was gone can I keep them or do I neeed to toss them out?????

    I don't know about the duck eggs, but chicken eggs will be fine to eat as long as no one was sitting on them. There are places in the world that do not have refrigerators and they eat eggs that are shelf kept up to a month.

    When I was gone last year for 2 weeks, DH didn't find the eggs. I found them when I I put them all in a separate bowl, and used them first. Cracked over a clean bowl, then if egg is good, cook and eat. If egg was not good, but still edible for the animals...I cooked and fed back to the chickens. No waste! [​IMG]
