Eggs on the floor?

Lately our new layers have started to leave eggs on the floor (only occasionally)... any ideas why?

Ours did at first, think it was because they either didn't like the nest boxes, or they couldn't reach them. Either way they eventually started using the boxes later. (about a month or two)

If all the nests are occupied, I believe that is the only time that has happens to us. Rare but occurs.

Since you are talking new layers, place a couple ceramic eggs in their nests as a reminder.
