Eggs set August 6th. Anyone else?

I set 11 quail eggs on the 5th. I set 6 brown eggs. I also set 24 assorted bantam eggs around 11 pm last night. I will be you're hatch buddy. Sending you good hatching vibes. This will be my first time with Quail eggs. This will be something like my 10th time with chicken eggs.

We set 8 Polish (White crested and Lavendar hybrids) 12 Welsummers, 8 Millefleur Pekin and 2 Silver Partridge Pekins on the 6th.

Great. This is my first time hatching ever. I made a homemade incubator. I'll post pics soon

If you don't candle eggs then you don't know if it's developing or not, right?
Cause I want to get a bator sometime but I won't want to throwing away any eggs that I think are not developing. And I was wondering why everyone does that?
Is it alright to just leave them in there and know at the end?

Congrats to you guys for setting eggs!!! Wish I could join!!!

If the eggs dont hatch it was meant to hatch, could be 100 different things and none of which i could have altered, if my Bator settings are correct thats all i can do. I leave the eggs in for 5 days after the first hatch to give anything that developed slower due to heat distribution for instance a chance to hatch. How many people pick up a broody and candle their eggs? Let nature take its course its all part of the fun in my eyes.

4 of my 11 quail have hatched so far. Every one else is going into lockdown late Friday night early Saturday morning. Hope everybody gets lots of little fuzzy butts.
