The Cord thing I believe was a little membrane that seems to be attached to it leg or tangle up with it on the way out..But, chic seems to be doing well.

Yes, that happens somtimes. Looks like string of goo !!

It takes any where from 3 hours to a day and a half for them to hatch. Good luck!!!

The chicks can go up to 3 days without food or water.
